Some vandals have damaged a pedestrian bridge at the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway by removing some iron reinforcement of the bridge.
The vandals damaged the bridge at the Sanya bus stop along the bridge, exposing pedestrians to danger.
An X user, @ummuh_Zahra, wrote about the damage in a post on Monday, with photographs of the extent of the damage.

The Lagos State government has, on many occasions, raised the alarm over the activities of vandals who destroy various infrastructure in the state, including streetlights, telecom items, facilities on highways, among others, while some of the vandals had been arrested and prosecuted.
However, despite the arrest and prosecution, the vandalism of infrastructure in the state has not abated as various facilities are damaged and items stolen almost on a daily basis in the state.
According to the X user: “Do we really have to blame the government for this too? How do you destroy infrastructure built for your own safety and convenience? What exactly is wrong with some people for God’s sake.”
Her post elicited reactions from her followers who urged the government to enforce harsher penalties on vandals.

@Gesin_Jay: “If dem never kill one of this vandals legally, we no go rest. Iron condemn terrorists.”
