President Bola Tinubu met with Pastor Tunde Bakare, Serving Overseer of Citadel Global Community Church, on Wednesday in Lagos.
The visit, confirmed by presidential aide Bayo Onanuga via X, follows Bakare’s sharp criticism of Tinubu’s leadership in April.
The former APC presidential aspirant had accused the president of weakening legislative oversight and warned against “state capture,” urging him to “stop playing God.” Bakare also slammed the National Assembly under Tinubu as a haven for “legislative rascality.”
While the meeting’s details remain undisclosed, it comes amid public concern over governance and calls for stronger institutional checks and accountability.
