Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) shattered records and long-standing expectations as they claimed their first-ever UEFA Champions League title with a stunning 5–0 demolition of Inter Milan at the Allianz Arena.

The emphatic win, witnessed by 64,327 spectators, capped a perfect season for the Parisian giants, who completed a historic continental treble – Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and the Champions League – becoming the first French side to ever achieve the feat.

In a final already notable for the absence of teams from England, Spain, or Germany for the first time since 2004, it was PSG who stole the spotlight. Luis Enrique’s side dominated from start to finish, delivering the largest margin of victory in a European Cup final.

Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring in the 12th minute, followed by a deflected strike from rising star Désiré Doué eight minutes later. Doué, later named Man of the Match, added a second in the 63rd minute before Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu sealed the rout. Inter Milan, in pursuit of their fourth European crown, were outclassed at every turn.

“This is a great feeling. Paris had never won the Champions League. We did it, and in some style,” said Luis Enrique, who joined Pep Guardiola as the only manager to win the continental treble twice.

For Inter, the night was one of disappointment and resignation. “Paris deserved to win this game and the trophy,” admitted coach Simone Inzaghi, while midfielder Nicolò Barella praised his team’s journey despite the crushing loss.

The final was a showcase of PSG’s depth and development—from the youth of Doué and Mayulu to the leadership of Donnarumma, Dembélé, and Vitinha. As Rio Ferdinand put it, “They pressed the life out of Inter… I don’t think I’ve ever seen such dominance at this stage.”

With club legends and celebrities looking on—David Beckham, Tom Cruise, and more—PSG finally scaled the European peak. Their journey, marked by years of near-misses and heartbreak, reached its dramatic, decisive conclusion in Munich.

The Champions League has a new name etched in history. And for PSG, it’s more than a trophy – it’s vindication, validation, and the start of a new European era.
