In a quite sad incident, a 19-year-old female university student is currently on the run after inviting her childhood friend to her room, lacing her drink with drug and asking two male students to take turns to rape her.
The two male students involved in the shameful act have however been arrested by the men of the command.
It was gathered that the 19-year-old teenager, whose name was given as Queen Sodo, a student of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, invited her childhood friend, aged 20 years (names withheld) also a student of the institution, to her residence.
When the friend arrived at Queen Sodo’s residence, and trusting their friendship which began in primary school, continued in secondary school and up to the university, she accepted a drink from her childhood friend, not knowing that it had been laced with drug.
However, after taking the drink, she was said to have become unconscious. After observing that she had become weak, Queen Sodo was said to have invited the two male students of the school into the room, left them inside and watched as they took turns to rape her from outside.
According to the Ondo State Police Command, the lady was subsequently found by a neighbour who noticed an unusual noise coming from the room. The neighbour eventually raised the alarm, prompting a distress call to the police.
The command wrote in a statement: “She was found naked, unconscious and in a weak position in the midst of the young men and was immediately rushed to a hospital for urgent medical attention. She was later referred to a specialist hospital where she is currently receiving care and recuperating.”
The arrested students were said to have have confessed their involvement and the specific roles they played in the crime, providing investigators with crucial information to aid in the prosecution of the case.
They are also expected to be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation while a manhunt had been launched for the fleeing female student.
