A popular Nollywood actress, Dayo Amusa, on Sunday, July 5, disclosed that she has found out that there is a serious demand for dog and pork meat at many places in Lagos.
The actress, known more in the Yoruba section of Nollywood, said this in her X handle, as she added that at almost every corner in the state, it’s pork and dog meats that are on display, including those using them to make barbecue which they sell to waiting customers.
She wrote: “There is a serious demand for pork and dog meat in Lagos. Almost every corner, it’s pork and dog meat barbecue. What is the happening in Lagos? You can’t innocently just buy suya these days now, it’s better to just ask. You’ll see people of different ages gather around it.”
Her post elicited reactions from her followers who confirmed that it is indeed true that demand for dog and pork meat is on the increase in the state.
